Ćierny pierun is a typical route for an ATB bike, i.e. a bike for any type of surface. You will find long asphalt driveways, gravel roads, forest roads, stones, branches, singles, mud, and you will also need to carry a bike, and finally the Enduro descent at the foot of Babia Góra.
The first half of the trail is mainly a part of the Góry400 race route, i.e. bicycle roads, asphalt roads with fifteen-kilometer uphill stretches, national roads, forest roads, and all this in the company of the Tatra Mountains, where you can hear the subtle noise of the Czarny Dunajec River in the background.
This idyll, however, will not last long, because when you cross the two hundred and sixteenth kilometer of the route and enter the Carpatia Divide part, the jokes will end here, and the photo with the white bear on Krupówki will go down in history.
The average on Strava will drop significantly and cursing will start, and in your mind also yourself.
Fortunately, the view of the Tatra Mountains, good company and the taste of adventure compensate for the pain and struggles of Pieruń, and sweat, tears and thirst quenched with good beer quickly go into oblivion.
